Helical Cutterhead for GRIZZLY 15" G0453W Planer15" Planer

A helical cutterhead for a 15-inch planer is a great upgrade. Replace your straight-blade cutter head. The cutter block is made of high tensile strength alloy steel equivalent to AISI 291. The cutterhead comes with 72 pieces of indexable carbide insert with 4 straight edges. Turn the knife 90 degrees to reveal a new edge. The life use of the carbide knives is 10 times of the HSS blade. Each knife has four edges. The set of carbide knives can work 40 to 50 times longer than the HSS blades. Dynamic balance is done after carbide inserts are installed. It makes a huge improvement on the surface finish and works great on solid wood, and softwood. Noise is reduced.

The kit includes 5 extra carbide inserts, 5 screws, and 1 wrench.

We make custom sizes for any jointer and planer.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry separately on low heat. Add QE Home Wool Dryer Balls to reduce wrinkles and increases drying efficiency. Touch up with a low heat iron as needed. Do not bleach or dry clean.
